Two sectors
Pal and Arinsal, linked by cable car
Pal is wooded and gentle, Arinsal steeper and higher. A cable car links the two sectors, so with one lift pass you ski both. Many families stay in La Massana, at the foot of the Pal gondola, where there are more shops and restaurants; groups and British tour operators fill Arinsal.

Families
Short drive, snow garden, child seats
It is about three hours from El Prat and you do not cross the whole country, so it is a good choice with small children. Tell us how many child seats or boosters you need when you book. The resort school runs a snow garden for the youngest: see skiing with children.
The road
CG-3 and CG-4
After the capital your driver takes the CG-3 to La Massana and the CG-4 up to Arinsal, a valley road with some bends that is kept clear in winter. With heavy snow, the authorities can require chains or winter tyres on some stretches; your driver follows their instructions.

What vehicle do I need?
Count everyone and every bag. Ski bags, snowboards and big suitcases are one item each; two cabin bags or two boot bags count as one. The boot fills up as you add them, and the price comes live from our booking engine.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take from Barcelona Airport to Arinsal?
Around three hours without traffic, for about 210 km. It is a little closer than Soldeu or Pas de la Casa because you do not cross the whole country.
Is Vallnord the same as Pal Arinsal?
Vallnord was the old joint name of Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís. Today they are separate ski areas, run together with Grandvalira under one lift pass.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle, with tolls included. Whether two or seven of you travel, the price of the chosen category is the same. For bigger groups the search box offers larger vans, minibuses or several vehicles.
